Band 6 Senior Staff Nurse - Emergency Department Adults

The Royal Free Emergency Department are passionate about getting it right for patients and their families. In order to achieve this we are looking to appoint passionate, enthusiastic, motivated and dynamic Band 6 Registered Nurses who are either at the start of developing their leadership skills following successful completion of an Accident and Emergency course or have substantial band 6 experience and are looking for their first junior sister / charge nurse post.
The Royal Free Emergency Department sees over 100,000 patients a year. We have an integrated Paediatric Emergency Department and an Urgent Care Centre. In addition to this the Royal Free ED have a consultant led care of the elderly team who assess older patients for appropriate admission or organise enhanced social care support in the community. The Urgent Care Centre within the Emergency Department has ENPs working with the GPs to deliver an efficient and responsive service. The Royal Free hospital has an active research programme with a number of nursing staff within the Trust undertaking research projects.
In order to equip you with the correct knowledge, skills and attitude to become a competent and confident Band 6, Emergency Care Registered Nurse we will provide you with:
* Supernumerary orientation programme that will be individualised to your professional needs.
* We will aim to send you on an ILS /PLS course
* We will help you develop your leadership skills with the option of our in house programme and support you to attend NHS Leadership Academy Courses and UCL Partners leadership development programmes.
