Band 8a Divisional Lead Nurse, Infection Prevention & Control
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Infection Prevention & Control team on a full time, permanent contract. We are looking to appoint 2 self-motivated and innovative experienced infection prevention & control practitioners with excellent communication and managerial skills to join our dynamic and innovative team.
These posts covers a broad geographical remit across our Diggory and Goodall Divisions. Each post will offer the opportunity to develop skills in diverse services which covers community physical health, community mental health, offender care, sexual health and addictions.
You will be working within and across the organisation, alongside a dedicated team and will be required to lead the divisional IPC team and deliver the IPC agenda in accordance with Trust and national guidelines. You will lead the divisional team in the development of a high quality, infection prevention and control service; ensuring robust systems are in place to facilitate all staff in provision of high standards of practice and directly supporting the clinical management teams.
You must have current and extensive experience working as a specialist nurse in infection prevention & control at a senior level.
An infection prevention and control qualification at diploma or degree level is essential with evidence of working at or towards Masters level. A positive and flexible style and approach is necessary and you must be a team player, work well as an individual and also able to manage and motivate staff.
