Robert Half is currently recruiting on a retain basis for a Managing Director to join one of its established and growing manufacturing clients based in Leicestershire. The role is based at the firms head office which is commutable distance from all area of Leicester / Leicestershire, Nottingham, Derby, Coventry / Warwickshire and Northamptonshire.
Reporting to the Chairman this exciting role has come around due to a retirement in the first quarter of 2021. The business is established and has grown during the pandemic and will exceed its 2020 revenue targets. As the Managing Director you will lead, coach and manage an established management team who are responsible for circa 100 heads across two sites. The business has a positive feel to it and is well respected by its customers and its market sector.
The role will cover managing all aspects of the business across operations, sales, marketing, compliance, finance and working with the chairman and leadership team to grow & develop and deliver the businesses strategic growth plans. Experience of driving change and being able to engage with your team to challenge and drive growth is essential.
They are keen to hire an experienced MD who is hands on and has extensive experience of working in a complex manufacturing business. Your cv will show that you are a strategic thinker / leader and have made some great career choices to date and be a able to demonstrate that you have added value and growth to your previous employers. Your style will be hands on and have a visible touch across all business areas.
The Chairman has a hands off style and is always on hand to support the Managing director.
The business has some exciting plans over the next three years including relocating to a new site to be able to double manufacturing capacity and they will invest heavily in new machinery and technology.

The role has a salary range of between £75,000 and £90,000 plus benefits including a substantial bonus package.
