Project Manager

Are you a self-starter who loves working collaboratively, problem solving and making a difference to health data research and innovation? Do you get really excited by BIG data, innovative data engineering and the potential to deliver and catalyse new research into pragmatic solutions for better health outcomes? If so, you could be working with the Health Informatics Centre team (HIC - at the University of Dundee.

HIC are looking to recruit a Project Manager for a new and interesting large, 18-month, health data project. The multi-disciplinary project team led by HIC will deliver a UK-wide health data analysis platform for rapid research, linkage and innovation. The outputs of the project will enable the delivery of insights from a comprehensive range of data partners and custodians including key support to government. The team will be looking to curate a standardised dataset accessed across a UK-wide platform for health data and associated datasets.

Your priorities will include:
You will liaise with internal and external stakeholders at meetings and events;
You will have to solve difficulties arising from the distributed nature of the delivery teams;
You will be expected to have experience in software project management, application development and database concepts;
You will be expected to manage overall delivery of the various projects within the programme of work.
Who we’re looking for:
Someone with knowledge in project management and ideally in at least one of the following: programming, data science, and laboratory management systems;
Experience of managing budgets and financial reporting;
A team player with the ability to work using own initiative, deliver outputs within agreed timeframes and work under pressure.
