Working alongside the Procurement Manager to support across multiple areas of the business ensuring they provide effective and efficient procurement that delivers best value for money.

� Build, maintain and manage supplier relationships
� Supplier negotiations
� Placing purchase orders with suppliers and managing them to ensure goods/services are delivered to support our depot needs
� Communicating any supply problems that may be a risk or impact business operations
� 'Day to day' management of the various procurement databases (supplier files, delivery notes, price lists and product testing schedule)
� Participating in supplier selection and assessment process
� Planning/preparing forward import orders based on forecasted depot requirements, benchmarked against historical period sales figures
� Preparing cost analysis reports on procurement process activities allowing the Procurement Manager to make informed decisions
� Posting of invoices and taking a leading role in the resolving of invoice/account queries
� Review/Research opportunities in the marketplace to increase sales margins and turnover
� Occasional travel to sites and/or supplier visits within the UK as required.

Skills Required:
� Solid experience of working within a procurement/ purchasing team
� Excellent communication skills with the ability to negotiate and challenge
� Good analytical skills with planning/prioritising skills and a strong focus on attention to detail
� Strong IT skills with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
� Commercially/Financially aware
Valid full UK Driving Licence is preferred but not essential in order to visit other site and sometimes suppliers
