Senior Data Analyst - 5 Years
Centre for Substance Use Research
4 Woodside Terrace
Glasgow, G3 7UY
The Centre for Substance Use Research is looking to recruit a Senior Data Analyst within its Glasgow based office. Since 2014, the Centre has been undertaking regulatory science research evaluating the public health impact of electronic cigarettes and other electronic nicotine delivery systems.
The successful applicant will have a key role in strengthening the statistical expertise within the Centre; ensure studies undertaken are executed to a high level of statistical rigour; be experienced in the analysis and publication of quantitative data; excel at working to a high level of detail in a diverse and often time-critical, high pressure environment. The post is funded in the first instance for five years and carries an attractive salary package including generous pension, life insurance, good sickness benefits and private health insurance. We work in a supportive, open work environment where all our staff are well resourced.
This post would require you to have experience of analysing large health related data sets using statistical software packages, specifically SPSS; providing guidance and supervision to junior research staff; and reporting study findings to professional and lay audiences. If you are interested in this post, please send a CV and a letter of application to Dr Neil McKeganey (Centre Director) at firstname.lastname@example.org.
