Are you an experienced Band 5 Occupational Therapist looking for the next challenge or Band 6 Occupational Therapist keen to develop clinical & leadership skills across wide and varied settings? Our Whipps Cross Hospital Band 6 rotation provides the perfect opportunity for you.
Professional OT support and development is provided from the on-site OT Clinical Leads (Band 8a) in conjunction with the OT/PT Clinical Lead. We provide a Trust-wide Band 6 Evidence-Based Practice Programme and regular site-based in-service training. We have strong links with our Quality Improvement (QI) Team and will provide support and training on QI processes.
The rotations at Whipps Cross University Hospital provide a fantastic opportunity to develop and consolidate skills in the following settings:
Stroke & Neuro Pathway (includes inpatient and community stroke)
Surgery, Critical Care and Amputees
Medicine and Palliative Care
Older People Services / Care of the Elderly
Emergency Therapy Team (Emergency Department and Acute Assessment Units)
The service operates a seven day service covering core hours between 8am and 6pm. You will need to be a versatile, adaptable team player who is prepared to work across a 7 day rota.
The occupational therapy service has a supportive education program and robust personal development program to support staff in their learning and development.
There is a strong commitment to staff development and service improvement with support for training at Master’s level.
