Sister/Charge Nurse/Senior ODP - Cardiac Theatres

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, motivated and experienced Theatre Sister / Charge Nurse / Senior Operating Department Practitioner with excellent communication, managerial and leadership skills to lead and develop our busy cardiac operating theatre suite within a renowned and innovative multi-disciplinary team at one of the UK’s leading teaching hospital in the heart of London.
The post holder must possess demonstrable experience as a senior nurse / ODP manager working in the operating theatre. In addition they will need excellent communication and inter personal skills and be able to network with the multi-disciplinary teams. An ability to co-ordinate and manage the theatre team in delivering qualitative and safe care for all cardiac patients is paramount.
Your leadership style will be critical as you positively facilitate, coach, drive and support all staff within your team to understand and collectively deliver the agreed goals and targets of the service. Through strong clinical leadership the Theatre Sister / Charge Nurse / Senior Operating Department Practitioner will support the team to promote excellence in nursing care in the cardiac operating theatres, maintain and improve clinical standards.
You will be able to demonstrate strong clinical credibility and a commitment to the development of the specialist cardiac theatre staff and the cardiac surgery service.
In collaboration with the Matron and other members of the senior theatre and cardiac management team, the post holder will be closely involved in the planning, delivery and implementation of patient care.
