Specialist Physiotherapist in Community Neuro-rehabilitation
10 month secondment to cover maternity leave:
Looking for an innovative, motivated and enthusiastic neuro physiotherapist to work in our skilled and friendly ESD and CNRT in a beautiful part of London. there is no weekend or on call work, free parking and therapy garden on site and opportunities to learn from band 7 experts.
We are a combined ESD and CNRT based in the heart of Richmond Upon Thames. We see people with a range of neurological conditions including people discharged home early following a stroke. This dynamic team consists of Specialist Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech and Language Therapists, Dietitian, Nurses and Therapy Assistants. We run groups for Parkinson’s, Multiple Sclerosis, fatigue, and balance.
The whole team contributes to developing the services that we run to ensure that we provide a skilled and efficient multidisciplinary team and an excellent experience for our clients. We can see clients in their own homes, in our outpatient gym or other appropriate settings to facilitate rehabilitation. Support and personal development is given through an established supervision and appraisal structure. The department has a protected time policy to support continual professional development.
You may be a Physiotherapist who has completed your band 5 rotations, or an existing band 6 who would like the opportunity to develop your clinical skills further in the speciality of neurology. You should have experience rehabilitating patients with neurological conditions and interested in influencing service development through innovative ideas. If you are self-motivated, empathetic, organised and an excellent team player, then this is the role for you.
Supervision of band 5 Rotational Physiotherapists, Assistants and Students at all levels is a requirement of the post. You will be supervised by an experienced band 7. Support for career progression is also provided.
Candidates should have:
• A valid HCPC registration
• Relevant post-graduate practical experience in the NHS as a Band 5/6 Physiotherapist including experience working with people with neurological conditions
• Own a car, and be prepared to use it for work (keen cyclists also considered)
