Speech and Language Therapy Support Worker - Stroke, Band 3

Speech and Language Therapy Support Worker - Stroke, Band 3
Are you passionate about delivering a high quality service to patients who have had a stroke? Do you have a keen interest in Speech and Language Therapy and want to help our patients achieve their goals?
The Acute Stroke Unit (ASU) has an exciting opportunity for a Speech & Language Therapy Support worker to join a friendly, supportive and experienced team, to help us to deliver high quality care to stroke patients.
ASU is a busy, energetic place to work, with 31 beds, including a high care bay. The ASU has been awarded silver accreditation and is proud to deliver high quality care to patients from admission through to discharge. Staff on ASU work with a wider multidisciplinary team and have a dedicated team of stroke nurse practitioners, Physiotherapists, Speech and language therapists, Dietitians and Occupational Therapists based on the unit.
As the Speech and Language Therapy support worker on the ward, you will be a valued member of the team, providing vital input for patients with communication and swallowing difficulties following stroke. An interest in language and swallowing difficulties caused by stroke would be beneficial but not essential as all relevant training will be provided.
